Photography is a passion of mine and I do it for the relaxation, fun and enjoyment. Photography is not my full time business, it’s a hobby that I take seriously and enjoy very much. I consider myself to be an above average amateur photographer or semi-professional. I came up with this rating based on this article.
To get the most out of my photos I edit each photo one by one from a RAW file using either Photoshop Camera RAW or Digital Photo Professional. Some of the techniques that I use are HDRI (high dynamic range images created with Photomatix Pro) exposure blending or by using other techniques such as the Orton Technique, simulating a graduated neutral density filter, photo extracting, combining images, adding special effects or just normal editing.
I shoot exclusively in RAW format because of the flexibility, control, dynamic range, setting the white balance and the ability to gain up to 2 more f-stops of exposure latitude which allows you to do things like rescue overblown highlights and shadow detail.
